Pediatric dentistry from the bottom of our hearts
Prevention & Prophylaxis

From the first tooth up to 6 years
Healthy baby teeth are the foundation for healthy permanent teeth.
Regular check-ups, ideally twice a year, enable us to detect early signs of tooth decay, misaligned teeth, and other risk factors for oral health.
At the same time, your child learns that it is normal to visit the dentist at regular intervals.
If needed and upon request, we also offer short, child-friendly tooth cleanings for our little patients. This way, your child learns the value and importance of healthy, clean, and beautiful white teeth at an early age.

From 6 years on
As before, we recommend that you bring your child in for a check-up twice a year.
Now, at each appointment, we will also provide individual prophylaxis with staining and education on dental health. The goal is to show the plaque on the teeth, educate on proper brushing techniques, and strengthen the teeth with a small fluoride treatment.
Depending on your child's needs and individual risk of tooth decay, we will discuss with you how often it is advisable to schedule a tooth cleaning.

Digital X-ray
Digital X-rays are essential for good diagnostics, especially for baby teeth!
Digital X-rays are particularly low in radiation and are essential for detecting tooth decay early. Due to their unique anatomy, decay progresses very quickly in baby teeth! That's why it's even more important to detect and treat tooth decay early.
Fissure sealing
Healthy, cavity-free teeth can benefit from a quick and easy measure: sealing! The deep grooves on the chewing surface of the molars are an ideal breeding ground for dirt and bacteria.
By carefully cleaning the chewing surface and applying a thin-flowing plastic, the sealant, the tooth is optimally protected against cavities on the chewing surface!
Dental Treatment
As a practice that specializes in children, we offer the full spectrum of modern pediatric dentistry. We place great emphasis on high quality.
Treatment
Cavity treatment using composite fillings or ICON, as well as silver or tooth-colored ceramic crowns for baby teeth, are all part of our repertoire. We also perform baby tooth root canal treatments or extractions and space maintainers when necessary.
Of course, tooth preservation is our top priority, and we are trained in specialized techniques for baby tooth treatment.
MIH (Cheese molars)
We are seeing an increasing number of cases of molar-incisor hypomineralization (MIH), also known as cheese molars, in children and adolescents.
Depending on the severity of MIH, we treat the affected teeth to keep them as pain-free as possible. However, since MIH can vary greatly in its severity, we will discuss with you the best approach for you and your child.
Tooth accident
Whether your child is a toddler, school-age, or teenager, it is possible for healthy teeth to suffer a dental injury and require treatment.
Quick and correct care in such cases is very important.
Please call us and bring your child to our practice as soon as possible so that we can ensure optimal care.
Relaxed atmosphere
Children's teeth are treated in our warm and relaxed atmosphere. Each child is individually assessed during their first check-up.
We take into account the child's age, willingness to cooperate, the type of procedure, and any negative past experiences at the dentist.
Types of treatment

Hypnosis
For many children, the combination of hypnosis with local anesthesia is a good treatment option.
Our staff and we are specially trained in pediatric hypnosis. Various elements for a hypnosis treatment include telling beautiful stories, singing songs, or using colorful, sparkling magic wands. Distraction, amazement, and enthusiasm are essential for a child-friendly treatment.
Our goal is to make the actual treatment secondary, so that the child can feel at ease and relaxed during the procedure.

Nitrous Oxide
Small or anxious children with few diseased teeth benefit from our magic air (=nitrous oxide treatment).
Nitrous oxide is a mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide. It helps anxious children or children with a strong gag reflex to feel the treatment as pleasant. It is a simple treatment method that only has its euphoric and pain-relieving effect during the treatment. Your child will be in a pleasant trance state.
Once the nitrous oxide-oxygen mixture is turned off, the effect disappears. In addition, time passes more quickly for your child and the treatment is easier to accept.

Anaesthesia
If many teeth are affected or the child is very young, we can offer a sleep anesthesia with our specialized pediatric anesthesia team and help your child. In a single treatment session, your child will sleep through the entire treatment of all affected teeth.
